Isaiah 7:14
waiting.
waiting for the fulfillment
of a promise.
perhaps from
another living
breathing human.
or perhaps
the promise
is
from
God
Himself.
His still small
voice pressed
on your heart
a promise of
something yet to come.
and you are
waiting.
waiting.
do you ever begin
to wonder if what
you heard or read
is really what you
heard or read?
has it been so long
that hope begins to fade?
imagine waiting for the
promise of the Messiah
to be fulfilled.
heaven was silent.
and they waited.
are you waiting today?
is hope wearing thin?
is discouragement
settling in around
you like a blanket?
what if the promise
for which you wait
is not even fulfilled
in your lifetime?
and perhaps the hardest part?
you. just. don't. know.
uncertainty can be like
a black crayon randomly
scribbling over the
colors of your life.
the baby in the manger
~the promised One~
is a beautiful
reminder of
why we have hope.
and He is so much
more than a reminder.
He. IS. hope.
hang onto the promises
of God.
His fingerprints
cover the path
to the manger.
the path
to the cross.
back to heaven.
and His fingerprints
cover you today.
always have.
always will.
and remember no
season is ever wasted.
kneel at the manger
and worship in the wait.
for an audience
of
One.
